A Week of Firsts, Highs, Lessons learnt, and Gratitude

What a week it has been. Competing in Roswell for the 2025 inaugural National Championship Air Races here has been nothing short of extraordinary.
We started the week by becoming the FIRST JET RACER to win a jet race heat at Roswell, making history by also being the First Woman to do so!
On a personal level, I was proud to secure two first-place finishes, a third place, and a milestone I’ll never forget, flying Miss Independence past the 400-mph mark (401.365 to be precise!) For me, that achievement alone is proof that when you push boundaries, great things can happen.

Of course, not everything went to plan. A headset wire issue caused me to withdraw from the final Silver race, costing me a third-place overall finish.
In racing, equipment can be as decisive as skill. It was disappointing, but it’s a reminder of how important the right gear is. A new helmet is now top of my list....... because safety, reliability, and performance matter when you’re pushing limits at these speeds.
What I take away most is the sheer support I’ve had: from my fellow racers who continue to mentor me, to the incredible fans cheering trackside and online. Representation matters, and being the only woman on the pylon racing course this year reminded me why I show up, for every girl who needs to see that the impossible is possible.

If you’d like to support this journey, whether through sponsorship, partnerships, or even helping with racing gear upgrades, please reach out.
Every little step helps keep this dream alive, and growing.

That's a huge achievement Tam! A lot of firsts indeed... Congrats! Onwards to the next race (with a new helmet!!)
